There are so many lovely people out there willing to help!
iPSL (Intelligent Processing Solutions Limited, based in Watchmoor Park) have recently held a raffle for Camberley Care Trust and raised a princely sum of almost £100 for us through their efforts.
Thank you very much to everybody involved in this from all of us at Camberley Care.
In December Camberley Care Trust won Waitrose Sandhurst’s Charity of the Month and have been able to collect a cheque for £210. Thank you to everyone who voted for us via their token system. It is an honour to receive this award and be able to put the funds to good use continuing to provide subsidised transport and handyman services for the Surrey Heath area 🙂
Many thanks to High Cross Church for hosting a lunch that Robin Perry and Peter Close were able to attend. Our local Constituency MP, Michael Gove, was also able to attend and gave a very positive speech about improved rail services to London (among other things). Thank you again to the church for hosting and to Michael Gove for his continued support of Surrey Heath.

We are now up and running on Facebook and Twitter both of which can be accessed from our website. We are gathering “likes “ so do please help us to increase the numbers. We are indebted to Claire Williams, who is our volunteer social media co-ordinator for introducing us to the world of social media which we believe will considerably increase our profile and standing. Indeed, it is likely that we will in future, post items of news on Facebook so if you find that What’s New appears out of date do please visit us on Facebook where you will see our latest news as well as discussion and comment.

We have recently received a letter from William Douglas and Diana Johnson who are, respectively, the son and niece of our client Mrs. Isobel Douglas. It reads as follows;
“Mrs Isobel Douglas would like to thank Camberley Care for an excellent caring car service to take her to the shops.
The enclosed cheque is from her which will help a little towards the administration of Camberley Care.
Thank you for helping us to maintain her independence and to have some company on her shopping trips.
We look forward to a continuation of the service as she approaches her 93rd birthday.

This letter wonderfully encapsulates what Camberley Care is all about and we are most grateful to Isobel for it and her kind donation.
From (and including) January 2014 to (and including) June 2104 volunteer car drivers completed 1860 trips and the handyman, Michael Chambers, completed 410 jobs.
The requirement for our services continues to grow as does our need for more volunteers. So, if you feel able to join us either as a driver or in the office, do please get in touch. You will be warmly welcomed.
